Black Maple Burl 30 Caliber Bolt Action Mechanical Pencil
This bolt action mechanical pencil is made from stabilized Maple Burl that has been dyed black and features gunmetal hardware. The dye penetrated most of the pen, but some of the natural wood is still visible and adds a sticking contrast. This particular mechanical pencil has a replica 30 caliber cartridge tip and has the added feature of a rifle as the clip. This would be the perfect gift for any military buddies or gun enthusiasts. Features a durable matte finish.
This pen takes a Parker Style pen refill.
Please note that due to the increased cost of dyed, spalted, and burl woods in comparison to plain wood blanks that these items will be a bit more expensive. This also applies to mechanical pencil kits as they also cost more than their pen counterparts.
CARE INSTRUCTIONS
While the finish is extremely durable for day-to-day use, we highly recommend that you do not leave in an environment, such as a car, for extended periods of time. The drastic temperature fluctuations may crack the finish, as we have experienced this with one left in the car for well over a year.
