Red Maple Burl Federal Pen
Do you love history or know someone that does? This ballpoint twist pen is made from stabilized Maple Burl wood that has been dyed red. The Antique Pewter hardware features intricate scrollwork on both the tip and clip, the end of the pen has designs influenced by Doric columns with a bald eagle centered over the clip. At the very top of the pen there is a convex mirror which was used as an aid for lighting rooms in addition to candles. Features a durable high gloss finish.
This pen takes a Parker Style refill.
Please note that pens can be expensive due to the cost of hardware. Specialized pens such as this have more detail than a normal kit and costs go up because of this.
Please note that due to the increased cost of dyed, spalted, and burl woods in comparison to plain wood blanks that these items will be a bit more expensive.
CARE INSTRUCTIONS
While the finish is extremely durable for day-to-day use, we highly recommend that you do not leave in an environment, such as a car, for extended periods of time. The drastic temperature fluctuations may crack the finish, as we have experienced this with one left in the car for well over a year.
